بِسْمِ
ബിസ്മി
In (the) name
നാമത്തില്‍
اللَّهِ
ല്ലാഹി
Allah
അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ
ٱلرَّحْمـٰنِ
ര്‍-റഹ്മാനി
the Most Gracious,
പരമകാരുണികനും
ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ര്‍-റഹീം
the Most Merciful.
കരുണാനിധിയും(ആയ)
ِسْمِ اللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ബിസ്മില്ലാഹിര്‍-റഹ്മാനിര്‍-റഹീം
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
പരമകാരുണികനും ദയാപരനുമായ അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ നാമത്തില്‍.

مَآ
മാ
Not
ഇല്ല
أَنَزَلْنَا
അന്‍സല്‍നാ
We (have) sent down
നാം ഇറക്കിയിട്ട്
عَلَيْكَ
അലയ്‌ക
to you
നിനക്ക്
ٱلْقُرْآنَ
ല്‍-ഖുര്‍ആന
the Quran
ഖുര്‍ ആനെ
لِتَشْقَىٰ
ലിതഷ്‌ഖാ
that you be distressed
നീ വിഷമിക്കാന്‍
مَآ أَنَزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْقُرْآنَ لِتَشْقَىٰ
മാ അന്‍സല്‍നാ അലയ്‌ക ല്‍-ഖുര്‍ആന ലിതഷ്‌ഖാ
We have not sent down the Qur'an unto you (O Muhammad) to cause you distress.
നിനക്കു നാം ഈ ഖുര്‍ആന്‍ ഇറക്കിയത് നീ കഷ്ടപ്പെടാന്‍ വേണ്ടിയല്ല.

إِلاَّ
ഇല്ലാ
except
ഒഴികെ / അല്ലാതെ
تَذْكِرَةً
തധ്‌കിറതന്‍
a reminder
ഉദ്ബോധനം / ഒരു സ്മരണ
لِّمَن
ലിമന്‍
for whoever
ഒരുത്തര്‍ക്ക്
يَخْشَىٰ
യഖ്‌ഷാ
fears
ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന
إِلاَّ تَذْكِرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰ
ഇല്ലാ തധ്‌കിറതന്‍ ലിമന്‍ യഖ്‌ഷാ
But only as a Reminder to those who fear.
ഭയഭക്തിയുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് ഉദ്ബോധനമായാണ്.

٤
تَنزِيلاً
തന്‍സീലന്‍
progressively
ഒരു അവതരണമാകുന്നു
مِّمَّنْ
മിമ്മന്‍
of those
അവരില്‍ നിന്ന്
خَلَق
ഖലഖ
created
സൃഷ്ടിച്ച
ٱلأَرْضَ
ല്‍-അര്‍ള
the earth
ഭൂമിയെ
وَٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ
വസ്സമാവാതി
and the heavens
ആകാശങ്ങളെയും
ٱلْعُلَى
ല്‍-ഉലാ
the high
ഉന്നതങ്ങളായ
تَنزِيلاً مِّمَّنْ خَلَق ٱلأَرْضَ وَٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ ٱلْعُلَى
തന്‍സീലന്‍ മിമ്മന്‍ ഖലഖ ല്‍-അര്‍ള വസ്സമാവാതി ല്‍-ഉലാ
A revelation from Him Who has created the earth and high heavens.
ഭൂമിയും അത്യുന്നതമായ ആകാശങ്ങളും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവനില്‍ നിന്ന് അവതീര്‍ണമായതാണിത്.

٥
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
അര്‍-റഹ്‌മാനു
the Most Gracious
കാരുണ്യവാന്‍
عَلَى
അല
over
മേല്‍
ٱلْعَرْشِ
ല്‍-അര്‍ഷി
Owner (of) the Throne
സിംഹാസനം ഉള്ളവന്‍
ٱسْتَوَىٰ
ഇസ്‌തവാ
He ascended
ഉപവിഷ്ടനായിരിക്കുന്നു
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَىٰ
അര്‍-റഹ്‌മാനു അല ല്‍-അര്‍ഷി ഇസ്‌തവാ
The Most Beneficent Istawa (rose over) the Throne.
ആ പരമകാരുണികനായ അല്ലാഹു സിംഹാസനസ്ഥനായിരിക്കുന്നു.

٦
لَهُ
ലഹു
to him
അവനുള്ളതാകുന്നു
مَا
മാ
that (which)
യാതൊന്ന്
فِى
ഫീ
In
ഇല്‍
ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ
സ്സമാവാതി
the heavens
ആകാശങ്ങളിലെ
وَمَا
വമാ
And whatever
ഉള്ളത്
فِى
ഫീ
In
ഇല്‍
ٱلأَرْضِ
ല്‍-അര്‍ളി
the earth
ഭൂമി
وَمَا
വമാ
And whatever
ഉള്ളത്
بَيْنَهُمَا
ബയ്‌നഹുമാ
(is) between both of them
അവ രണ്ടിനുമിടയില്‍
وَمَا
വമാ
And whatever
ഉള്ളത്
تَحْتَ
തഹ്‌ത
(is) under
ചുവട്ടില്‍
ٱلثَّرَىٰ
ഥ്ഥറാ
the soil
മണ്ണിന്‍റെ
لَهُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ ٱلثَّرَىٰ
ലഹു മാ ഫീ സ്സമാവാതി വമാ ഫീ ല്‍-അര്‍ളി വമാ ബയ്‌നഹുമാ വമാ തഹ്‌ത ഥ്ഥറാ
To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil.
ആകാശങ്ങളിലും ഭൂമിയിലും അവയ്ക്കിടയിലുമുള്ളതെല്ലാം അവന്‍റേതാണ്. മണ്ണിനടിയിലുള്ളതും.

٧
وَإِن
വഇന്‍
And if
എങ്കില്‍
تَجْهَرْ
തജ്‌ഹര്‍
in your prayers
നീ ഉച്ചത്തിലാക്കുന്നു
بِٱلْقَوْلِ
ബില്‍-ഖവ്‌ലി
with word
വാക്ക്
فَإِنَّهُ
ഫഇന്നഹു
and indeed, He
എന്നാല്‍ അവന്‍
يَعْلَمُ
യഅ്‌ലമു
knows
അറിയും
ٱلسِّرَّ
സ്സിര്‍റ
the secret
രഹസ്യമായത്
وَأَخْفَى
വഅഖ്‌ഫാ
and the more hidden
പരമ നിഗൂഢമായതും
وَإِن تَجْهَرْ بِٱلْقَوْلِ فَإِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ وَأَخْفَى
വഇന്‍ തജ്‌ഹര്‍ ബില്‍-ഖവ്‌ലി ഫഇന്നഹു യഅ്‌ലമു സ്സിര്‍റ വഅഖ്‌ഫാ
And if you speak aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden.
നിനക്കു വേണമെങ്കില്‍ വാക്ക് ഉറക്കെ പറയാം. എന്നാല്‍ അല്ലാഹു രഹസ്യമായതും പരമ നിഗൂഢമായതുമെല്ലാം നന്നായറിയുന്നവനാണ്.

٨
ٱللَّهُ
അല്ലാഹു
the god
അല്ലാഹു
لاۤ
ലാ
(there is) no
ഇല്ല
إِلَـٰهَ
ഇലാഹ
god
ഒരു ദൈവം
إِلاَّ
ഇല്ലാ
except
അല്ലാതെ
هُوَ
ഹുവ
him
അവന്‍
لَهُ
ലഹു
to him
അവന്ന് ഉണ്ട്
ٱلأَسْمَآءُ
ല്‍-അസ്‌മാഉ
(are) the names
നാമങ്ങള്‍
ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
ല്‍-ഹുസ്‌നാ
the best
ഏറ്റവും വിശിഷ്ടമായ
ٱللَّهُ لاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ لَهُ ٱلأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
അല്ലാഹു ലാ ഇലാഹ ഇല്ലാ ഹുവ ലഹു ല്‍-അസ്‌മാഉ ല്‍-ഹുസ്‌നാ
Allah one has the right to be worshipped but He. To Him belong the Best Names.
അല്ലാഹു. അവനല്ലാതെ ദൈവമില്ല. ഉല്‍കൃഷ്ട നാമങ്ങളെല്ലാം അവന്നുള്ളതാണ്.

٩
وَهَلْ
വഹല്‍
And has
ഉണ്ടോ
أَتَاكَ
അതാക
(there) come to you
നിനക്ക് വന്നെത്തി
حَدِيثُ
ഹദീഥു
(the) news
വര്‍ത്തമാനം
مُوسَىٰ
മൂസാ
(to) Musa
മൂസായുടെ
وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰ
വഹല്‍ അതാക ഹദീഥു മൂസാ
And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)?
മൂസയുടെ കഥ നിനക്കു വന്നെത്തിയോ?
